Range Management Club

The University of Saskatchewan Range Team functions under the University of Saskatchewan's Stockman's and Rodeo Club . The Range Team's Chair sits on the Stockman's and Rodeo Club Executive Committee. This year the Range Chair is Andrew Reese . At the first Range Team meeting each year the Range Chair divides tasks that need to be done throughout the year, such as fundraising, sponsorship and travel planning, among the members. The Range Team funds the majority of its trip to the SRM Annual Meeting and Conference by receiving sponsorship from many industry and academic partners in Saskatchewan and support from families and friends. The U of S Range Team has attended the SRM Annual Meeting and Conference for the last few years, with members participating in the URME, student paper presentations, impromptu speeches, and the plant ID contest. This year team members will consist of approximately eight members, who will all write the URME, and possibly compete in the Range Cup. The team plans on meeting once or twice a week to prepare members for the URME. During the weekly study sessions various University professors, people working in the industry, and people who have attended the conference and wrote the URME in the past will share tips and knowledge with the team members.
